Changes... new ventures... new vehicles!

Some of you may have heard the the Silicon Valley Mom's Group, which is the hub of the Orange County Moms Blog and the other 12 regional Mom Blogging Sites, is dissolving. Completely. For good (at least for now). Looks like a combination of some management issues and personal factors are leading to the founders to basically just stop everything come July 1st (even though they are profitable, and have millions of monthly visitors to the sites). Very sad to see the sites and the entire group go, as I do enjoy my twice a month free-lance gig as well as the people I get to write with. But there are going to be some new ventures that come out of this for me and some other local writers.

So remember back some time when I mentioned I had NO idea what we would do with my current car because we would not be able to fit three car seats in it? About a week ago my husband solved the problem for us and traded in his prized sporty car for a much larger vehicle for us. And the best news is that it's NOT a minivan! So now instead of me complaining to him every night that I can't sleep because I'm worried about HOW we will fit all of our children in one car, I get to hear him complain about decreased gas mileage. I'll take that trade, that's for sure!

Today marks my 29th week of pregnancy, and with every week being some sort of milestone of sorts it's also putting me closer to D-Day! This past weekend I also got the baby's crib set up, put the bedding in it, and got all of the clothing that I've purchased or received for her washed. I also "for sure" decided on paint color, so over the next few weeks I'm truly hoping that we get it all together so I can take the last month or so to just chill out in my spare time sewing and learning how to crochet like an old lady. Expect many back-posts about my "projects" that I've been doing for her room soon!

All in all, this past week has been full of change... and it makes me not want to wait for what the future holds. This Thursday my Husband and I are attending the E3 Expo, courtesy of moi and this weekend my BFF, Katie, is throwing me a baby shower! A few exciting days ahead of us, surrounded by work and spending time with family should make for some interesting posts by the end of the week. In the meantime, hang tight... lots to come!
