Yes, I'm a Blackberry user. I've been the proud owner of a Blackberry Bold 9000 for over a year now, and I wholeheartedly stand by my decision to purchase the Bold over an iPhone ANY day.
With my Blackberry, I can use Apps just as much as any iPhone user can. Below is a listing of MY top rated apps for Blackberries in general (and I suppose for iPhones, too... must you use one of those contraptions).
1. Google Maps 3.2

Google; http://m.google.com/maps
It's GPS navigation for free! Hello, what's not to love? Google's BlackBerry app offers driving, transit and walking directions (without annoying voice prompts) for businesses and street addresses, with real-time traffic updates that help you get around congested areas. The new Layers feature lets you view various kinds of information overlaid on a map, while Latitude tells you where your friends are. If you ever leave the house, this app is a must-have. Go to the Web address above to get Google Maps.
2. Google Sync
Google; http://m.google.com/sync
This app has been invaluable to me. Not only has it saved all of my contacts for me automagically online in one spot for me to retrieve when I had to get a new phone because *someone* spilled milk on it, but it also syncs all calendar events with my Blackberry Calendar and Google Calendar, sends me REMINDERS about said events, and allows me to edit all Contact information ONLINE in my gmail account then updates all of the details on my phone. I'm sorry, this app was a close second because I do not know what I would do without it sometimes! Honestly, with my busy life sometimes it's hard to show up to places let alone be on time. Without this app I'd flat out forget, or would be constantly late. SO nice.
3. Opera Mini 5 Beta 2

Opera Software; http://mini.opera.com
Lets face it- the Blackberry Internet Browser suuuuuucccckkkks. This one does a great job at being quick, efficient, and an accurate representation of what the website ACTUALLY looks like by using some nifty compression. Since I'm all about speed, this browser is what's great for me!
4. Poynt

Multiplied Media Corporation; www.poynt.com
An unusually GREAT local-search app, Poynt uses multiple data sources to find you the best restaurant info, including CitySearch, OpenTable and Yelp (and boy do I love Yelp!). It has both white and yellow pages components, which will save you more than a few calls to 411, or frustrating cuss-outs to Google 411. And it also finds movies near you. The interface is what really sets this app apart, because it's so easy to use and just plain LOOKS GREAT while it gives you the best search information for local services you could ever ask for. You can download Poynt by going to m.poynt.com with your BlackBerry Web browser.
5. Viigo

Viigo; www.viigo.im
If you are more of a single-app kind of woman or man, maybe this should be the only app you download. Viigo is the best single information app for any handheld platform. Under the hood, it's an RSS reader. But it finds and presents its information brilliantly, whether it's a slew of news sources and Technorati searches, weather, sports scores, flight information (seriously!) or even Tweets. If you like to know things or read things, this is the app for you... and it will make your Balckberry that much more valuable to you. Viigo is available in BlackBerry App World.
6. UberTwitter 0.925

UberTwitter; www.ubertwitter.com
This is BY FAR the best of the Twitter apps for Blackberries out there. UberTwitter seems to have a perpetual free beta program going, which is great because I'm all about testing Betas. It hits all the right Twitter notes - it supports location (which I disable, but I know some people are in to it), photo attachments, searches, timelines, trending topics, and even does a neat trick by trying to find users Tweeting who are physically near you. The interface is fast and smooth, whether you're skimming through your timeline or exploring new possible friends to follow. The free version puts some relatively unbothersome ads onto the screen. UberTwitter is available in BlackBerry App World.
And there you have it. My top apps for Blackberries.
Got any additional suggestions? Let me know... I'm definitely up for trying anything that you think is nifty and cool out there!
