Wedded Bliss?

19. March 2007 — jen0r

We've officially been married for one year, and both of us are still alive to tell of it.

Yesterday was our first wedding anniversary. We went out to dinner on Friday night to The French 75 in Laguna Beach. Overall the food was pretty good, though a bit pricey. We've been going out on "dates" once or twice a month semi-regularly to nice restaurants in the south O.C. area, and The French 75 was by far the most expensive of them all. All in all, I think it was worth it though. That rack of lamb was mighty tasty...

Saturday night my parents had a Saint Patrick's Day party at their house. It is so much fun watching all of my parents friends get drunk. Seriously, you would think they were a bunch of college kids from the amount of alcohol they drink + the ridiculous things they do/say. It's a wonder how they are so successful in their adult lives.

Sunday was pretty boring, as it was mostly a recovery day for us. We all slept until 8:30AM (that's sleeping in for us), and for the most part just hung out at home. I went out at one point to run some errands for baby stuff. I went to Macy's and bought the little man MORE new clothing (in 24 month size, can you believe it?) and Target for diapers. When I was at the mall I happened to grab the last copy of Amy Winehouse's new CD "Back to Black." Really good CD... you should get a copy for yourself.

Sunday night we took a trip to the Ritz Carlton- back to the scene of the crime, and went to the very spot that we got married. We only spent about two minutes there, though... for a bride and groom were taking their pictures on the lawn adjacent to us and we didn't want to be in the way.

Now we're back to Monday; back to my exciting life. I'm researching upright steam vacuums at the moment- you should be jealous.
